I'm going to help my friend with a office computer build running Linux (probably Fedora 18)

He wants three screens to be able to do quite a lot of multitasking; coding, etc.

My question is if there are any problems with multi-screen in Linux, many graphics cards have bad drivers for Linux. Would you recommend AMD or Nvidia cards? Do you even recommend a specific model in particular?

I would love to get some answers, since I know little about this.

(Sorry for any bad English, my primary language is Norwegian...)

a friend of mine had an amd gpu in his linux rig but the drivers especially for multi monitoring were really bad so he switched to nvidia. He says its much better now. I guess i would do the same and go with a 600 or 700 series gpu. Which one in particular depends on his budget.
