Good evening everyone!

So I have had the same computer now for roughly 3 maybe 4 years. I have never upgraded any of my parts and I am starting to consider it now seeing as I have had all the parts for as long as I have. Only problem is that I have no idea of the specifics for my parts. A bunch of my friends got the parts for me as a birthday/christmas present and we all built it together. So not only do I have no idea what is upgrade-able, I also do not know if it would cause me to get a larger power supply.

If there is a way for me to pull up a list of my parts from my computer I would gladly show you guys!

Really all I want to do with the potential new rig is to play blizzard games, couple FPS games, and record content to eventually start up a youtube channel. I may stream at some point for shits and giggles but I dont know.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

I have a price max of like 600-700$

EDIT**
Ok thanks to xnoobftw i now have some of my parts I can share.

GPU- AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series
Processor- Intel® Core i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30GHz
Installed memory (RAM)- 4.00 GB

Start menu > right click my computer and click on properties. Bam RAM and CPU info

Search device manager > open display adapters BOOM GPU. (or alternatively you could just click on device manager on the computer properties window found in the top left corner)

For PSU you'll have to open your case up and check the label.

Alright, you want to stream, record videos and all that?
You need to scrap everything.

You will need more ram, you need an i7 cpu for hyper threading, you need a much beefier GPU to handle gaming and render. You will also need a couple of Fast, dedicated HDDs to record to (Not Green). I also hope your network connection has a good upload speed and no bandwidth cap.

Is it worth it? Nope. Can it be done for under $700 ? Hahahahahaha! No.

If it wasn't for that, you would honestly only need a RAM(8GB) and GPU upgrade for gaming, hopefully the PSU is good enough to handle a new GPU and isn't some doorstop junk that will blow in your face under load. (Possibly throw in a SSD for the OS if you don't already have one)

This can be done for under $600.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Bazzite

I think I disagree with most, but not all, of what TetraSky said.

Alright, you want to stream, record videos and all that?

You need to scrap everything.     Disagree

You will need more ram.  Agree.

You need an i7 cpu for hyper threading.  Disagree.

You need a much beefier GPU to handle gaming and render.   Maybe.  Depends on exactly what he has.

You will also need a couple of Fast, dedicated HDDs to record to (Not Green).  Maybe.  A Blue drive would likely be fine

I also hope your network connection has a good upload speed.  Irrelevant with patience.

and no bandwidth cap.  Agree

Is it worth it? Nope.  Disagree.  It's what the OP wants.  Very well could be worth it.

Can it be done for under $700? No.  Disagree

You don't need to scrap everything. Unless you're looking for the most cutting-edge performance, you can make do with $700. $700 is not a sweet spot: you're not getting the most for your money. A good sweet spot is arround $1000-$1200 dollars for a decently powerful computer.

Here's some rough suggestions for parts, you can wiggle it around:

Intel i5-4670K - $230

Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 - $220

Team Elite Plus 16GB DDR3 1600MHZ - $140

MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition - $140

WD Blue 1TB - $55

Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 240GB - $105

NZXT S340 - $70

Windows 8.1 - $100

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - $35

Arctic Silver MX-4 - $10

Corsair RM Series RM650 650W - $110

Ok how about we cut the streaming out of the equation? Just did a speedtest and im rather embarrassed to say what it is

You could downgrade to something like an Intel i5-4460 to save a bit, and you could also downgrade the motherboard.

You can probably find an EVGA PSU for cheaper, fully modular, and more wattage.

other than that, I pretty much agree with @Mod3 for the most part.
