Hey guys, thanks in advance for reading this. Recently (the past day+) my Chromebook running Ubuntu 14.04 with the unity Desktop as had no audio through the speakers or headphones. The audio on ChromeOS works perfectly fine, so it isn't the hardware. Any ideas on what to do? Keeping mind that I am a tinkerer and not a programmer. On a sidenote, Openshot Video editor won't play video, but VLC will....

When I click sound options it shows CAS as the audio device (I think.) And I got an update today, not sure to what version.

Under sound options it gives me volume/balance/etc.. Options and stuff like that. Sorry for the lack of tech speak.

As i dont know if you also have a Samung Chromebook 5 i can't guarantee, that this works for you.
