Hi!

I'll build my first rig in a week or so, using a Sapphire Radeon R9 270x and a friend of mine suggested to me that I should buy a MOBO that has PCI-E 3.0. My plan was to use a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P ATX Motherboard.

So what do you guys think- should I keep this MOBO or is it really worth buying another one (suggestions please).

I will also use the AMD FX- 6300 CPU. Do you suggest any other CPU? Maybe an Intel 2 or 4 core? Bacause I read that 2 cores are enough for gaming.

Thank you

Longboarders/ skaters message me!

The cpu is fine(someone will come in here saying get a Pentium whatever intel's naming scheme is) and pci-e 3.0 is not available with any fx series processor as of this time. But pci-e 2.0 won't show any significant performance drop.

Don't worry about it, current GPUs barely even saturate all of 2.0 16x bandwidth, you won't see any drop in performance.
