2k Gaming/Workstation Build

Go to solution Solved by Archangel1994,

Damn good :D. Remember to calibrate your monitor though. I once saw a calibrated PB278Q in the store and my god those colors were so vibrant

Future upgrades include a second GTX 970.

I already have the RAM. I just didn't want to change the total cost. My RAM is Corsiar Venegence Pro DDR3 2133Mhz. 16GB.

Also I don't like the gigabyte motherboard aesthetics.

Is a 27 inch monitor really needed? A 24 inch should be more than sufficent.... If you could down scale to a 24inch i might be able to squeeze another 970 for you :)

(PS: i heard from people that beyond 24inch 1080p looks crappy)

The monitor is the cheapest 1ms monitor (any other monitor in this price range is 5ms) Heck i think it's a beast! I personally use a 22 inch monitor and i can tell you it really is very big already! No point for a 27 inch one!

I think you are forgetting that

- It's also workstation so she probably wants IPS for the color

- No point for a 27 inch one? Not for you to decide

If I wanted a gaming monitor, I would have gotten the ASUS G-Sync monitor.

Damn I can see why you went with that though I highly suggest going for the PB278Q if you can make that stretch

Just saying shipping is going to make the build more expensive and there's no CPL branch near me.
