Brand new build, computer freezes

asianboi63

Hey guys,

I just built a brand new rig about a week ago and it was fine until now... it has frozen on me 3 times in the past 2 days, no idea why. First 2 times I just hit the reset button on my case but the third time I let it sit for a minute or 2 and it was fine after that, also while it froze my music glitched and just played the same part over and over again...

Specs:

I5 4690K

Asus Z87-Plus

Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1866MHz

Kingston V300 120gb SSD

WD Blue 1TB hdd

Please help

Andrew

your CPU isn't compatible with your motherboard without a bios update. it will kinda work but not 100%   look up how to update your bios. also another thing could be that your overclock is too high.

Is the bios configured? Are your ram timings set to xmp or as listed on the sticker? Disable any auto over clocking in the bios as well.

would the auto overclocking be called Ai cpu clock or something along those lines?
