Hello everybody,

I am from europe, i dont know if you have noticed that origin charges 59.99$ for fifa 15 in US, while charging 59.99€ in europe, by currency conversion rates, it charges 14$ more for the same product,

Its unfair and unprofessional as well, and its not only fifa 15, but applies for the rest of the store!

This has to be addressed somehow by ea, i dont care how much money they make from games, but i do care for fairness and equality in shopping opportunities.

Hope this will find lessening ears.

Or its a company and they can do whatever the fuck they want because they can...

This isn't new and they aren't the only ones to do this. Yea it sucks, but what can you do.

To be fair, lots of companies do this, Valve put CS:GO keys at 2.5 euro and 2.5 dollars for quite a while, until they recently changed it (2 euro now), the problem with changing it is fluctuating price markets, though I do feel that is a bit extreme for them to be the same

I haven't looked this up in a long time, so sorry if my information is outdated, but there is a cap  (EDIT: looked it up, it's apparently a soft cap set by manufacturers as the maximum expected demand price)  on how much can be charged for video games in the US ($60). There are ways to get around this, like separating out content and selling it as day one DLC (looking at you Farcry 4), but most games (AFAIK) don't do that. Presumably, this is just a company charging what they can, where they can.

It should also be mentioned that exchange rates are not indicative of cost of living and pricing is often regional for products.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but I believe most of that increased price has to do with taxes.

Could still be a bit cheaper.

And I don't believe that your post will change anything and that somebody in a high position at EA will say: "Yea, never thought about this; we should change that!"

As long as it is selling they won't change anything; why should they?
