I've been contemplating recently if i should use the new Windows 10 environment for my upcoming build. If you have any suggestions, or anything against it let me know, I'd like to hear it.

nah the beta (or whatever its called) is not recommended for primary use (if thats what your asking), get windows 8.1

 

And yes, I know there are a TON of people here who do that, but still...

Yeah as @Flight1sim said 8.1 is the way to go. It's pretty stable and works better than any other Windows so far.

You could try and run it as a second booting OS as its very early or in a Virtual Machine.

I have been using Windows 10 Dev Preview as my OS on this machine since it came out. I have had some crashes but those are maybe only once every 2 weeks if that, I am very impressed so far though. I personally would recommend Windows 8.1 until the official release happens. That way you wont have as many glitches. I have noticed in some games a slight improvement, but nothing to get excited over. If you do go with windows 10, be sure to set the updater to slow, this way the fast updaters will have had it for a day and have found the majority of the bugs. I personally LOVE Windows 10 and cant wait for it to get better. Just know that it is very much a work in progress.

Thanks for the insight guys, for the past month I've been using windows 10 as my primary OS and have had no problems so far.
