Overheating?

70 degrees is fairly normal. It wont damage the card. The max temp is around 90 degrees, and at 100 degrees the computer will shut itself down to prevent any damage.

If that happens though, RMA the card.

 

But in your case, you are more then fine. Your R7 260X is not overheating.

I'm wondering if my XFX R7 260X DD is overheating. Its runing in the high 70's Celsius on payday the heist maxed out 1080p. Is this normal?

it wont damage it.

but it wouldnt hurt to put a few fans in your case either.

how hot could it get without damaging it?

AMD cards have a TJ MAX of 95*. Some cards like the 7990 even have a 105* TJ MAX

With that  cooler, that temp seems about average
