So I wanted a new keyboard. I ordered a CM Storm quickfire ultimate and they sent me the wrong one, on the description it said german layout and I got the english one, so i RMA'd it and got the money back. Is there any cherry mx backlit keyboard you can recommend that doesnt make annoying click sounds when pressing?

Well blues make the click sound. Greens are heavier blues, so that eliminates them both.

Browns are a "tactile bump". Clears are heavier browns.

They make sound, but are quieter if you type softer. They don't click really, but still can be loud. Not nearly as loud as blues though, and are considered ok for office use.

Reds are strait travel with no bump at the actuation point. Blacks are heavier reds.

These would be the quietest, but lack the tactile bump that other switches have. They are considered a gaming switch, and a lot of people don't really like typing on them. These are what I'm using right now. I actually like them.

Now all switches can take O-rings to dampen the sound. They do change the feel of the switches a bit, and reduce the travel distance.

O-rings come in varying thicknesses

You might want to consider a sampler ket

The back lit keyboard I am using is the Corsair K70. You can choose any keyboard that looks nice to you, as long as they have the Cherry MX switch type you desire.

I'd get the same keyboard with a brown or red switch.

they would send me wrong one. so which one do you recommend?

Where did you buy it from? Maybe if you try a German retailer you'd be sure to get one with a German layout?
