RikusWhite's AMD Build

RikusWhite

Hi guys.

This build isn't the best build for gaming, and I don't need to be reminded of that. But for the gamming I do it is more than sufficient and is playing all the current and new games on ultra-high settings.

First off, I'm a budget builder. I like building good PC's with a limited amount of cash.

What I have in my build at the moment is:

Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0

CPU: AMD FX4100 (For Now)

RAM: Kingston HyperX 1600MHz 2X4Gb

GPU: ASUS HD7770-2GD5

PSU: 800W Gigabyte Odin

HDD: 3X1.5Tb Seagate SATA2.0(Nothing Special yet)

Case: Cooler Master CM690

This rig is not complete yet and I will be posting the complete rig at a later stage. I will also post some pictures of the current rig and when upgrades come in.

A 7770 playing all current and new games on ultra-high settings is an overstatement.

DO you have a game for me that will knock it lower? I haven’t found one yet. Medal of Honor Warfighter gives me 30-40 FPS on ultra-high. It’s more than playable.

My monitors max is 1600X900. That's what I'm playing it at. I'm happy with what I can do with my PC.

I like to build budget-PCs as well. But if I where you, I should downgrade the motherboard and the PSU and spend the saved money on a better graphics card (or processor). A 800 Watt PSU is definitely an overkill for this build. You got a very nice motherboard, but you said this was a budget-build and as far as I know this motherboard isn't really in the budget-category.

@WiRoz: I undertand what you are getting at. But my build isn't done yet. Working but not done. I'm going for dual GPU's, witch means that the PSU isn't a overkill. With motherboard standards, I like dual PCI-e X16. And this board did the best in my budget regarding that. I'm a huge ASUS fan and don't really want anything els in my built. The Dual HD7770's will do great I think. I'm not that hectic of a gamer so it will do fine for years to come.

@Nicholas Marzio: I'll get the game and test it. Thanks, didn't think of crysis 3. Will let you know what it does.

Guys, like I said, its not the best build out there and I'm not aiming for INSANE graphics. But that what I have tested seemed to be running well on ultra-high graphics. Hope this clears all your doubts.

I think that should push it down to High graphics. Should still be a great experiance when playing. Will be posting pictures soon,,,,
