Assuming I have a VPN that runs through my home connection, how does that traffic look to someone like my ISP? Say that I am on a laptop elsewhere, connected to my VPN, downloading a file at 1MB/s. To my ISP, does it look like my home connection is both downloading at 1MB/s and uploading at 1MB/s?
