Looking to upgrade card

i have a Alienware Aurora-R3 with 2 GTS 450. one was getting hot and turning off my pc? i found which one it was and took it out. now im just running on 1 card. which its not doing to well when im playing my games. i would like to get a single card to replace the 450s. i have up to $300.00 to spend. and  i am going to get it from here

according to dell i have a alx 875w psu. it has the same plug in

Just throw a 770 in there if your motherboard can support it. If that's too expensive then just put a 760 in it instead. Remember to remove the old graphics card first though. Two different graphics cards can't run in SLI.

The R9 290 is probably the fastest card you will get for $300.
