Hi!

a guy recently said to me that if a screw accidentally falls on the MOBO it can completely destroy it. Is that true? I mean there is a procetvive coating on it right?

Than you and sorry for my english

He's trolling, unless it somehow scraped across and took a few components off, which I doubt. Or unless the screw dropped from space.

And he also mentioned that one of his pals destroyed his gpu when he was replacing the thermal paste on it or something like that? You dont need any paste on your gpu, do you?

It comes pre applied. You don't need to change it unless you really want to, or you are watercooling. And to break a gpu by removing the heatsink. Your friend must not have the smartest friends. It is literally removing a few screws and lightly twisting in an outward motion.

Think I dropped screws on my mobo while assembling and reassembling it like 3 times, then stabbed it with a Philips screw driver twice. Although no scratch. Its still working.
