Interpol Virus , need help

Well my friend has a virus and i thought maybe some people knew some tricks to help my friend.

 he says the virus is the :Interpol virus , and every +- 2 min a screen pops up and immobalizes everything exept that app.

,he is oke with me formating his hdd but if there is a different way it would be awesome !

 

he runs a windows 7 machine .

Laptop , and the virus might be in his windows , or a sepparate (Ghost) account , or in a randome app , it wasnt i the files from the movie he downloaded (Dumb Fuck xD)

DL malwarebytes and scan, kill everything it can find. then run a regular virus scan from Avast or somthing. followed by a CCleaner scan/clean. reboot and do another malwarebytes scan. if it still finds stuff, repeat from the start and keep cleaning

safe mode, malwarebytes scan, combofix

 

or just link him to this video, it covers pretty much everything(i trust the guy, ive learned  about 55% of my intrusion knowledge from him)
