I was just wondering - since I really want/need a laptop for college next year. I was looking into a custom super laptop with a high end gaming card or something, however with Steam-in-home streaming I could get an ultrabook and do the same :D So Should I get a High-end Laptop (custom or like a Asus G series or a Gigabyte Arous thin gaming laptop) or get an Ultrabook (no idea which one is good :c) and the last option a Macbook Pro with dual boot to windows.

a cheap ultrabook and a hackintosh dual boot with windows is the cheapest option for you ;)

I rather spend more for better hardware :D

then a good ultrabook and a good hackintosh ;D

no but seriously:

I am currently going to university for programming and you don't need a good notebook. The most important thing is that it has a good battery, as you might not always get a charger (we have no space in our auditoriums). I would get a really good homecomputer and do the work there and just write on the notebook and sync it with google drive

The Laptop would be an extension of the my build log, "beauty and the Beast" I just want something I can play games on and move around with :D

ok, i will not hold you back from wasting money, but in my experience you don't have the time playing games on a notebook when you are in college. Either you are in an auditorium or in the libary studying or you are hanging out with friends, or you are at home, where you already have your good rig, where you can play games.

Edit: are you from a german speaking country?

I really like the Asus ROG G751 but it's kind of expensive. Otherwise, the MSI GT80 looks promising but we have yet to see their prices.

Or you can go with the Alienware 13 and get the amplifier to plug it with a real desktop GPU, supposedly same desktop performances.
