psu questions

How good is the seasonic m12ii evo 850watt psu? Will it be able to support 2 gtx 970's or a r9 295x?

Another question, do the 6 and 8 pin connectors of graphics card use power of 12v rail or 5v rail?

Yes, you could sli 2 980's but for an R9 295x2 i would go for at least a 1000w psu, andthey use the 12v rail i belive.

It's tier 1 supply so it should be fine.

As for the 6/8 pin connectors, I'm certain that you connect them to the 12v rail.

You don't even need close to a 1000W PSU for the R9 295x2. It's recommended to have a strong 12V rail though

@
As was mentioned before it's a tier 1 power supply. That means it uses high quality parts. In short it's a very good power supply.

It's a very good power supply that will be able to support a 295X2 or two 970s without an issue.

The PCIe power connectors use power from the 12V rail.

Will the seasonic m12ii evo 850w adapt well to the NZXT phantom 530. Reviews say that the cables of the seasonic m12ii evo 850w are short but will they be enough for the above case?
