Power supply about R9 270X + FX-8350

Diskey

I'm fairly new at this forum, created an account because I'm being crazy about this whole power supply thing.

I already have an A6-5400K running but maybe after 3 days as of writing this, a box from a relative overseas will arrive. I'm currently confused if my current 500W Zalman ZM500-GS is enough to run this:

MOBO: Gigabyte 970A-UD3P

CPU: FX-8350

GPU: Sapphire Dual-X R9 270X

2 SSD's + One 2.5 HDD (don't ask) + One 3.5 HDD

Any inputs will help.

Thank you very much. :)

Which 500W? It will likely be fine but better to make sure so you're safe and not sorry.

I've built three systems close to that spec this last year timeframe using lesser than what I'd choose as acceptable PSU's. All being 500w (Customers went against advice)

Yet all three systems so far have had no issues as of yet, two of them are over 9 months old, one is 3 months old. (I see these people regulary)

I'd recommend usually 500-550w for such a system if they don't usually upgrade or game often,.....from a reputable company (Zalman I dunno, CPU coolers yes, but PSU's...)

2x 8350 + 270x systems & a FX-6300 + 280x

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

A quality 500W PSU is more than enough. Not sure about that zalman unit.

If you're going to buy that unit, don't! Go for a seasonic 550RM.

Thank you for the inputs, I really appreciate it. Maybe for the meantime, I'll stick to my current psu and maybe go for Seasonic PSU's because it is the only psu that is readily available in shops near my place. MOBA (Dota2,HoN,etc.) and spotify is my routine. Thanks again. Good day to you all.

well I do remember building some units with a zalman 500w psu. since it was so cheap here. I haven't seen those rigs get returned yet for warranty. that could mean the zalman psu could be decent or they just bought a new one or the customers are just happy and lucky they got a decent one.

Additional question: is this review site good? I've been reading and I only found this about my current PSU. If I'm not allowed to link something, I'm really sorry and I'll take it down as soon as anybody will tell me.

can't really remember but I think the one I wrote about is the gt ones. since I don't have any psu that's not 80plus rated at shop.
