W10 Pro 22H2

I did a restore earlier. My search bar now does nothing which is a problem, nothing I've searched has worked in getting it back. I also noticed that I now have a message for zero installer. Which is used for deepl. I tried uninstall. I tried delete the folder but even as admin, I don't have 'special prevs' to delete.

I'm on Win10 as this particular PC is for gaming only.

I'm CONSIDERING just going to Win11 and hopefully it just works. Because as of now the only thing to try is a Windows reset, and I do not feel like installing chrome, game launchers, games, modding tools, mods, auxiliary programs, etc. Will doing the W11 downgrade leave me with a "working" PC as-is?

What should I do? Is the downgrade worth the day of getting my PC right?

Stick with Windows 10, it's a less inferior product than Windows 11. If you can, don't muck around with Restore unless there is something that you can't live without in your installation. In which case they should have been backed up somewhere off your computer.

If you have the capability, i.e., important files backed up off your computer and have an installation disk or the ability to do a factory reset, you're better off starting over with a fresh install, no matter which you choose you can use your current Windows key.

windows search bar is hot trash anyway. Use "everything" by void tools one of the best search bar replacements period. As for the "special permission" you might have better luck if you're using CMD prompt as an admin perhaps, navigating to that folder, then removing it that way.

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

Start a Command Prompt as Admin here copy and paste or type this Bold Command

DISM /Online /CLEANUP-IMAGE  /RestoreHealth and press Enter, After that is done type

SFC /scannow and press Enter.

this will replace any missing system files.

Then Rebuild the Search Index

If all else fails, you can do a Windows Reset and choose to Keep My Files this will keep all apps and personal files, no reinstalls required

Please click the "Thumbs Up" on any volunteer's post to thank them if they helped .(lower left, just to the right of My Computer )
