Razer Products

Go to solution Solved by Arphenyte,

I own a Razer Lycosa and a Imperator, and I gotta say... They handle my rage quits really well (only broke the , key from it) and the Imperator cable have handled my mouse rage too. I've owned them for 4-5 years now, and I gotta say damn they are tough.

To reply to all of you, so should I live in fear of my Razer gear dying? Or will it all be ok if I take super good care of it all? I've been pretty happy with my headphones and my keyboard seems really promising. I don't want to live in fear of something going wrong. Please tell me.

Don't worry about it too much just so long as you take care of them. They generally have good build quality anyways.

Well if you play with the Hz settings, you can make it sound really great, and combine that with a good sound card and it's fantastic!

There's no way that statement is factual.

I beg to differ. If you readjust the Hz settings in Windows playback and recording you can actually make it sound much better.

better =/=  fantastic. Sorry to take away your illusion, but the sound quality of the Kraken and of any Razer Headset is just plain bad.

they are fine. although I don't really like anything with razer anymore besides their goliathus mouse pad and my old razer mamba.

people tend to not take care of their hygiene. and just spam around the keys with oils in their hand after eating fried foods or fries and burgers and stuff.

clean the keyboard regularly and should be fine.

Live your life like a dream.

I've got a Razer Naga 2014 and the sensor on it is crap and the mouse feels cheap worse 80$ I ever spent.

I have the Naga 2014 as well.... if you calibrate it to the surface you are using it on it is amazing... if you don't it is really glitchy and sometimes stops working (happened to me durring a CS:GO competetive match....was not fun)

oh and sometimes Razer synapse (the software) sometimes slows my pc to the point i have to restart the software

I haven't had an issue with the software as I have a power house style computer. Thanks for the information though! :)

I've been looking at this topic, and I am also looking towards a Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Chroma and a Razer DeathAdder Chroma - should I also be worried about their longevity?

Well I've only had this for a few days and it's held up well so far. But like that was mentioned before, if you take care of things they last a long while.

I mean look at what the keys are made of. http://gyazo.com/70b6ea20ef2f9d3dbabe1195ae9f218d

I've owned a Razer Naga 2012 for 1.5 years and it hasn't shown the slightest sign of wear and tear. It does seem most people are complaining about their older Blackwidows. The only Razer product not worth buying in my opinion are the headphones, "gaming headsets" always have too much bass.

I am conducting some polls regarding your opinion of large technology companies. I would appreciate your response.

Microsoft Apple Valve Google Facebook Oculus HTC AMD Intel Nvidia

I'm using this data to judge this site's biases so people can post in a more objective way.

I actually do enjoy my Razer Kraken Headphones. It's good. The reason for the Bass is because it's response frequency goes down to 20Hz. The human ear can only hear down to 60Hz. That's why people get upset over the bass. You have to understand the frequency part to understand why the bass is there. I only started this post to ask about keyboards, now it's progressed to mice. xD haha, oh the internet. :D Haha

the bass heaviness has nothing to do with the maximum or minimum frequency. A lot of headphones over 100$ - or pretty much all of them go down to 40 Hz or even lower. It is about the membrane and how it swings to the soundwaves. Because soundwaves with less Hz produce more heavier, but less soundwaves -  you need a good membrane or you will just get a sound that has way to much bass in it. Don't get me wrong, the build quality of the Kraken is actually good, but the bass is just plain to much, even for bass-heavy music styles, and that has to do with a bad membrane that is implemented. This is not an objective thing, that is fact. Buy some good headphones from Sennheiser, AKG or Audio Technica (headphones not headsets)  and the difference will be massive.

I really like the Kraken headphones. To me they sound like their full range headphones and make a lot of things sound really nice. But sometimes the way something sounds is often based on one's personal hearing and what they like hearing. I understand what your saying though, don't get me wrong. The Kraken's just happen to sound right to my ears but may not sound good to other people's ears.

My DA died in 4 years. My keyboard (BW) is on 4 years still running, my pad (Destructor) again on 4 years. My Naga 2014 is on arround 6 months, no problems. I broke my headphones, but gaming headphones ("headsets") really sux. Go for headphones (Like Audio-Technica, AKG, Sennheiser etc) for future.

  • 5 months later...

I have ran into the same problems that the youtube people you talk about are having. Just a disclaimer you can completely trust this reply I know what I am talking about.

Yes I do like what Razer puts out but it only lasts for an couple of months. I bought the Razer Hammerheads and the Razer Naga around the same time, and they both broke as of this week. The only thing that is still running is my keyboard the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate. So this is probably too late but if you are thinking about buying more things from Razer I would advise you not to. Any companies like Corsair, Logitech, Daskey, Bose and etc. would be great.

Hoped this helped, TwhiteGMS.
