970 Coil Whine Problems

Go to solution Solved by Archangel1994,

GIgabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 here. Absolutely zero coil whine <3

So online I have heard many people complain about coil whine on the MSI and ASUS GTX 970s. I was considering these two because of their ability to passively cool themselves. I wanted to know if anyone who owns a 970 could tell me how bad the coil whine is (if any)?

Can tune it up to 70% and still not hear it that much. It's pretty damn quiet

OK ill look into that one, also do you think you could set the fan profile to become passively cooled at idle and under a light load

Nope, fan speed does not go lower than approximately 40%. However it's pretty much silent at that percentage.

You can't solve coil whine, it's luck of the draw
