An 8350/4790k will both multi task exceedingly well.

Intel does seem to be orientated more for "performance" where as AMD is more orientated for Price/Performance.

It also won't do any singular task as well.

price to performance leans to amd for multitasking.  Like the above person says an 8350 and 4790k will perform similarly in multitasking.  But an 8350 costs way less.
