When mir or online rebates have a due date. does this mean that for the rebate to be valid the mailed in or online submitted content has to reach the manufactures office by that date ? or does it mean the item has to have been purchased before that date? thx

You need to purchase the item between the specified dates that the rebate is eligible for and usually you are given about 30 days or so to mail it in and for the 30 days they take the day that you mail it at the post office.
