PC all around performance

Hello guys I am trying to get the best pc i can afford (wich is around 1000 euros) I spent really a great deal of my week-end trying to get more knoledge about PC components and I came across the component sheet I am sending as an attached files.

I am a college student who has destroyed his previous laptop and who is sick and tired of carring top-edge equipment that will eventually fail.

I am a occasional gamer but I tend to play to modern games who still require good graphics (f.y.i. the witcher 2 and 3 eluded to my nvidia 550M on my xps17 laptop)

I edit videos and photos as an hobby and I could run math and physics symulations in my field studies.

Do you think I chose the right components at my first try?

All the help is appriciated.

 

P.S. (How well would you grade my english? I am from Italy and I tend to exercise a lot on my english so I would love to have an output on this thing as well)

Some mistakes but as long as we are able to understand you there is nothing to worry about mate !

 

Do you plan to overclock and/or go SLI in the future?

As I said I spent quite a while on videos (b.t.w.  i love techQuickie) and  reviews so I might I have a BIAS on the matter but.....Yes i think that while upgrading memory speed and storage i might give overclocking and SLI a try when the horse power will be needed

My recommendations are i7 4790K and an R9 290 or a 780 if you can afford them

Looks alright to me. Personally I'd look into getting a different case,, but that's just my opinion. Is there a specific reason why you have an M.2 SSD picked out? Unless you're using it for Smart Response, I'd go for a 2.5" drive instead, but all in all it'll be a pretty sweet system.

 

Yes i was specifically going for smart responce. I read that m.2 sould give better perfomance over sata III and i cannot spend 300 euros on a SAMSUNG 1TB SSD

I would also get a z97 motherboard and a 4790k they are just a few euro's more.

If you save some money on 8gb ram you can maybe get a gtx 970

I'd go for a GTX 970 and a i7-4790k, or a i5-4690k instead of the 4770k, use a z97 board and you're all set for future broadwell/skylake CPUs

2- I thought that th "msi 1150 Z97S" was a z97 chip compatible with newer CPUs..was I wrong?

The 970 is more comparable to the 780, it's more cost efficient to get the 970 instead of 780. I'm not sure about price over there but it's better to get a r9 290 than a 770 since it has better performance for the same price, unless you use software that utilizes CUDA cores.

Video encoding is a bit slower but you can also go for 16gb 1600mhz

your motherboard is compatible but you aren't making use of it so the motherboard is fine but you should get a 4790k

The gtx 970 is a whole lot faster comparable to a gtx 780.

Get the i7 4790k if you run math and physics simulations frequently. You're gonna want that extra processing power.

You lost me on CUDA cores. I really haven't spent much time looking into AMD, all my acquaintances told me to go for Intel.

It's like the "processor" for the GPU. CUDA is the name for Nvidia cards. Basically, some software are more optimized using Nvidia cards, and others, AMD cards.
