So im planning on building another PC, but this time not for gaming. I want a fast office/home type PC, the CPU I want is the G3258 and I want to OC it. Im kinda confused on what parts to get. I want the build to be at or under $400. I do have a microcenter in my area. Can you guys put together a build for me that has the Pentium G3258 that I can OC? Thanks :)

Yes sir, I shall help you. Is there any leeway with the budget?

I said at, or under $400. I already have an SSD and DVD drive, so don't add those to build :)

I already have an SSD, no need to add it. And I though you couldn't overclock with H97 chipset?

You can overclock the H97, B85 and even the H81 chipset mobos, provided you update the bios to one that allows it.

WOW! I did not know that. Thanks for the info.

The only reason to choose one of these types of chipsets therefore is the Sata3 ports. H81 has 2, and typically 2 Sata2 ports as well. B85 is typically 4 Sata3 ports and 2 Sata2. H97 has 6 Sata3 and no Sata2. None support SLI, some support Crossfire, and most have USB 3.0 front headers.
