Hello people,

I am new on this forum, I have been watching linus tech tips for a little while now and it helped me a lot understanding some more stuff about PCs.

So I am building a PC for my cousin and I want you to evaluate it if it's good.

We we're aiming at ~$700, but we are in Serbia, so the prices are different here.

The build:

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-b85me33

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/kingston-memory-kvr16n118

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/antec-case-vsk3000

http://www.lc-power.de/index.php?id=181

I also suggested AMD FX-8320 with some compatible motherboard, but my cousin wants Intel.

He isn't going to overclock the system...

So what do you think guys?

The pc part picker is missing the gpu and psu so I pasted links individually...

You can add custom parts at the bottom of pcpartpicker's parts list.

Anyway, it's a bit pointless to use pcpartpicker when you're not shopping from any of the listed vendors.

Where are you actually shopping? What's the system being used for?

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

I used pc part picker just to present the components.

We don't have something like a pc part picker in our country.

But the cheapest vendor I found is www.hellas.rs .

The website doesn't use dollars. What's your actual budget?

Again--what's the system being used for?

Praise be tomshardware!

Serbia
Micro Systems
Emmi <--- has an incredibly helpful PC Part Picker style configurator
Emmi http://www.emmi.rs/naslovna_stranica.1.html
Duocom http://www.duocom.rs/
Winwin (same stuff as emmi @ higher prices) http://www.winwin.rs/
Qbit Computers http://www.qbit.rs/

Try to get: Intel B85/H97/Z97 motherboard, Intel G3258 processor, AMD R7 265/ R9 270/270x or Nvidia 750ti (which ever is cheapest), 8GB of DDR3 RAM, 1TB HDD and 120gb SSD if it can be fit into the budget. 500w PSU from a reputable brand (Antec, be quiet!, Cooler Master, Corsair, Enermax, EVGA, FSP, NZXT, OCZ. Seasonic, Silverstone, Superflower, Thermaltake, XFX, Zalman). A good case to fit the mobo you choose; Cooler Master N200 for mATX, something like the Zalman Z3 Plus for ATX. A 120mm tower cooler like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo/Plus, Enermax ETS-T40, Zalman CNPS10X Optima, NZXT Respire T40, Deepcool Gammaxx 300/400 etc. There are many to choose from, but try to make sure it's 120mm. After these all you will need is an operating system and a DVD drive.

Once you find all the parts that you like, put them into a pcpartpicker list and post it here, then we can judge it.

the budget is about 60 000 Serbian Dinars (RSD).

The system will be used mostly for heavy load music making (Fruity Loops with heavy plugins), but gaming as well.

We aim for balanced PC.

I was considering the same processor the FX-8320, but my cousin insists on Intel.

That PSU I think is low on amperage, the graphics card requires 24 amps, but this psu only has to offer 18A.

Why did you choose ddr3-1333?

The psu has 2 12v rails--one of which is 17A and the other 18A.

I just went with the cheapest ram kit I would find. The clock speed doesn't make much of a difference.

But 18A is not enough right?

I guess he insists on intel because of better quality...

It should be enough although it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a better psu like the 550P14HE or 600A14A.

Cpu's in general are very high quality. For all intents and purposes, there wouldn't be a difference in quality.
