I am building my first computer and I am thinking about getting an ASrock extreme 9 Z97 however I can't find any reviews online for it, should I get it or should I get something cheaper and/or better.

You should mention which Extreme 9 you are talking about, 990FX, Z97, X79 etc. 

 

For Z97: I'd have to say go with an Asus ROG Hero / Formula

For X79: I'd say Asus Black Edition Formula

For X99: I'd say Asus x99-a / x99-extreme

 

I'm not a big fan of Asrock and would prefer an Asus or EVGA offering.
