CPU

Go to solution Solved by TheKDub,

what do u think about Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7

I've not taken a look at it or anything, but most likely its a decent board.

CPU intel i7 4790k

Motherboard: Asus b85 PROGAMER

Video card: Asus GTX970 DC II Strix 4GB OC DDR5

Ram: Corsair Vengeance Pro 1600MHz CL9

Case: Fractal Design R4

Storage: Intel 530 ssd 128gb, WD 1TB

Cpu cooler: C.Master Hyper TX3 EVO CPU Cooler

Power supply: Corsair VS Series 650W PSU

Hey guys this was my plan but i saw somewhere that if i get a g3258 and overclock it i can make it about as good as the 4790k. This allows me to get a better motherboard and still save like $200 but im not sure if i should do it. What do you guys think? If i do what new motherboard should i get? I live in Singapore and ima use this rig for gaming. Thanks

Not nearly as good as the 4790k, I don't know who told you that but it's total BS.

You could save about $100 by getting the 4690k which is fine for gaming.

Oh and i'd go for a Z97 motherboard if you want your CPU to actually work..

its on the linus youtube. should i get a 4690k instead and a z97?

this? MSI Z97 Gaming 5

The gaming 5 is a little bit more expensive, but it would be a great choice too.
