Conficker virus defense

So ladies and gentleman my best friend is pretty screwed his PC has a Conficker virus and he wants to know how to defend his PC against it if possible. Please for his sake help!

I like to use AVG 2015 (free). It's very good for free, got rid of my Trojan Horse...

screwwwweeed. Microsoft released an update against the conficker virus at '08 didnt they? but of all the things try Hitman Pro, AVG, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, everything!
