For just a little bit more, and if you're willing to drop the SSD (which, let's face it isn't important unless you're super weird about boot/load times), you can get all the way up to an i7-5820k, which is a six-core workstation monster of a CPU. I put in the same cheap GPU because it sounds like gaming isn't really a priority, and it's good enough for most things so long as you don't care about running everything on ultra.

If you really want an SSD, you can throw one in there, but I think getting the i7-5820k is more important than that.
