You might be able to fix it. One way you could fix it(if's just stuck) is pushing on it. Or sometimes just tapping it a few times. But, if it's truly dead, there's nothing that can be had.

Ok, so it's a stuck pixel.

If you are lucky, this might work. Run it over your affected pixel for a few hours (make sure that Windows doesn't turn off your monitor). It's a software that puts a color square that changes at rapid rate between colors, forcing the pixel to get unstuck after a while.

You can use your computer while this happens, as the colored square will be always on top of your windows. Juts don't game, as the game will be over it.

If after 2-3h it doesn't fix it. Then it's probably really stuck, or something at the panel circuit level is broken.

BenQ is doing an excellent job to keep it's dead/stuck pixel policy under-wrap. I just gave them a call, and they told me to fax them my bill of a BenQ monitor to know the dead/stuck policy... they would not tell me what it is, when I said I was interested in buying their monitor.

From forums it looks like you need 4 bright/stuck pixel, or 10 or more dead pixels. And there is distance and zone policy. In other words... BenQ doesn't cover you, and has horrible warranty. Nice.
