Hey guys! can you tell me what is the best motherboard that fit with the Haswell i7 4770K Processor? I'm willing to pay 400$ MAX for the motherboard itself

I'm going to use it for gaming & editing ONLY. Also, I will be using Dual GTX 780 << Just an extra information.

Please I need experts, I heard about the Asus Maximum VI Extreme & Z87 Deluxe but idk.. Don't forget .. (GAMING).

Are you planning on overclocking? But since you mentioned gaming several times I think the MSI Z87-GD65 would be a good choice. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13-130-692&cm_mmc=SNC-YouTube-_-NETV-_-TN20Ic4hHfI-_-13-130-692

Fits well below your budget too.

Edit: Damn ninjas :P

Me: Yeah I just really can't get my H220 working again, I've tried everything that was suggested in the forum.

Brian (Swiftech Support): Hmm, have you tried slapping it?

$400 is overkill for a good board they can be found for much cheaper, unless you are doing extreme benchmarking (which you didn't mention) then $250 will be plenty. Pick a board that has the features you want and slot spacing you like, since some people get picky about that kind of stuff.

Also any brand you are preferential to?

my advice would be something like the MSI z87 GD65 or Asrock Extreme 4 or 6

If your going for just gaming, dont spend 400 dollars just on a motherboard. Just get a the Z87 Sabertooth,Maximus VI Hero, MSI Z87 MPOWER, etc. Boards around 250 are good for your use. The $400+ boards are pretty much for people that are overclocking to the highest they can or trying to break some benchmark or they have all the money. Take that $150 you saved and invest it something else. You may want to try doing some exotic watercooling loop since ur willing to spend probably more than $2k on your system.

Don't stare yourself blind at 'gaming oriented' or stuff like that. Pretty much all z87 boards over a certain price point will perform more or less identically when it comes to gaming, so go with the one that has the features and expandability you want at a good price.
