Is Galax (previously galaxy) a reliable brand?

im thinking of buying this card because its so much cheaper than all the 'big' brands like EVGA, MSI, ASUS etc.

I live in Australia so here are the prices

yeah these prices suck
Though keep in mind this is in AUD which is at 0.88 USD at the moment or close to that

Galaxy is a good brand. The best? No but that can be said about all the others.

Both Galaxy and KFA2 were good brands, and they have been competing heavily to reach the same popularity as the other main brands.

 

I tried using KFA2's RMA service because I had a GTX 670 die within a few months, and then the replacement developed the exact same problem within the same timeframe as well (the GPU and Ram stopped boosting to their 3D speeds, and trying to OC them higher than the 2D clocks caused artifacts and crashes).

 

I had a whine when it happened again on the second card and they replaced it with a 680, albeit a reference one which worked fine, but then I sold that to get MSI lightnings. 

 

Their direct RMA turnaround was decent and around 5 days to get my replacements. They also responded well to all my questions.
