Phanteks PH-TC14PE ram compatibility

So, I'm currently planning out a build for my brother, and came across a few questions regarding the PH-TC14PE. The ram I'm going to use is TWO (so 16gbs) of these http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f312800cl9d8gbxl

The question is, will it fit? This is the motherboard if anyone's wondering. http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VII_RANGER/

Thanks.

It will just fit, but will require moving one of the fans up a bit. It's still recommended to get low profile RAM though. Also, don't get an ROG board, it's a waste of money.

It will work. But don't get an ROG board, it's a waste of money.

I actually saw that picture before asking, but it looks like only 2 of the ram sticks will fit, (hence why I said I will be getting 16gbs)

As for the ROG board, I'm getting it on sale for $150 with the ROG front base, so yeah.

Why use 4x4GB sticks tho? 2x8GB sticks are the same price http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f312800cl10d16gbxl

And there's quite a few good Z97 boards that are still cheaper then the Ranger with the discount.

He already has one of the kits, so I'm buying him another kit to make it 16gbs.

I don't live in the us, prices are much more expensive here. The Ranger is one of the cheapest Z97 boards here, and with the front base it's a bargain.

Oh I see, well if he already has one of the kits then I'd say if you want to be sure it will fit then get a low profile kit for the other two slots where the plastic on the fan hangs down lower.

Hmmmm... Haven't thought about doing that. Although his OCD would go crazy if he figures out what I did  :lol:

What are some low profile kits with red heatsinks?

@Aniallation

With the third fan sticking out, how much clearance is left between it and the side panel of your case? Also, with that setup, are you ONLY able to use two RAM sticks or could you populate all four slots and still fit the heatsink/fan?

I had this cooler and that RAM, can confirm they will fit.

My motherboards where the FXA-UD5 from gigabyte and the Sabretooth from ASUS. The ripjaws fit under the cooler fins IIRC so I never had issues.
