Multiple internet providers on the same network, possible?

Go to solution Solved by Lingrah,

Is it possible to get another internet provider on the same modem and router? i have a cable connection and

i live with several other people, the internett here is really slow, But they do not want to upgrade.

So i would like to pay for my own connection. Does anybody know how?

must i buy a new modem and router for this?

Sorry for my poor english:)

YES YOU CAN!!!  :D It will require a differant router but you can have multiple internets in one house.  A guy i know has 5 housemates (they all live in one big house rather than 5 small ones to save money)  Each of them have there own router and internet.  They all use the same company but they pay for 5 internet plans.  It works for them im sure it will work for you.

I suppose you could get multiple connections into one building.

If you want them to be able to communicate internally (E.g. NAS, LAN games, etc) you'll have to make two subnets and route between them.
