Hi all.

I'm building a PC for a friend who's going to be using it to mostly just run software called 'ReconstructMe'. This software just basically just recreates 3D models using and Xbox Kinect. It utilizes OpenCL and so I'm looking for a way to best maximize OpenCL performance.

Any insight into OpenCL would be appreciated. For example:

- The relevance of no. of cores, clock speed, ram speed, ram capacity, gpu speed, vram, CUDA, stream processors etc...

- AMD vs Intel

- AMD vs Nvidia

- i5 vs i7 (given their respective prices)

Theres no set budget yet but getting good value is probably a priority over raw performance.

Thanks in advance.

I would go all AMD since their GPU perform better in most case of OpenCL. GPUs 290Xs or take a look at their FirePro series it's more a pro-consumer graphic card, and as for processor, get the FX-8370D and no any FX-9000 series.
