Yep its a sad thing that such a simple attack is so effective...

Hopefully with IPv6 we'll be able to blocks of IPs and can hopefully integrate something like BGP to mitigate attacks on our side. Though it seems like a fallacy with the way current ISPs are.

I know. its sad how hard Ipv4 is used. 

My ISP has all the gear to swap and I have talked to them about it (I'm friends with one of the network admins {Mostly because of all the attacks on my network long ago})

BUT I believe they didn't because it doesn't work all that well with the IPv4 system. {OR it was exploits and security issues. I don't fully remember}

I haven't heard of it. However its sad with a protocol that hasn't been solidly in place they couldn't update it and make it more secure.
