the iPen and iPaper are my favourite,

 

something like a yoga laptop would suit your needs though, as it is allot easier to type notes then it is to scribble them. and it has a touch screen for when you need to annotate diagrams and stuff, although it doesn't have a sty;us but you can probably find a cheap after market one.

the surface series does but the lower end ones rn windows rt but otherwiser that would eb my option but for tablets god forbid i say this but the samsung galaxy tab

If you want note taking then consider something like the Galaxy Note 8.0 or Note 10.1 2014 edition. Both have the S-Pen which comes in really handy for note taking. I had the Note 8.0 for a while and I loved the feature where you could hand write notes with the pen and it would turn it into a text-based word document. Definitely what I would recommend, but I'd say get the Note 10.1 2014, as the specs and software of the Note 8.0 are quite outdated.
