Hi guys,

So I wanted to set up my new Laptop, a Dell Latitude E6440 (Win 7 64bit, Mobile QM87 chipset, BIOS Dell Latitude version A.07, i7-4810QM, 16Gb RAM, 4600HD graphics, 2 x 250 Gb Samsung EVO SSD).

However I encountered the following problem:

When trying to create a RAID 0 array with the 2 SSDs my BIOS and/or Intel's RST doesn't even give me a RAID 0 option. The only thing I can do, is create a recovery volume, which is basically a more flexible RAID 1. Both drives were recognized and are fully functional.

I downloaded all the latest drivers and enabled the "RAID on" option in the BIOS.

I really don't know what to do at this point of time and I'm quite desperate, so please, anybody, help!

I'd be very grateful for any kind of input on what to do...

Benjamin

Why? You won't be able to use all the benefits of the Magician software with a RAIN setup. And there's very little benefit to a RAIN except in benchmarks. Just run your boot disk as a standalone.

Sir William of Orange: Corsair 230T - Rebel Orange, 4690K, GA-97X SOC, 16gb Dom Plats 1866C9,  2 MX100 256gb, Seagate 2tb Desktop, EVGA Supernova 750-G2, Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3, DK 9008 keyboard, Pioneer BR drive. Yeah, on board graphics - deal with it!
