For some time I have been without a dedicated Gaming PC. So it is time I sit aside the cash to do so. I have a $1,000 U.S. budget(Monitor, Keyboard, and mouse or similar products not included). Any suggestions? Do you have questions about your own build? Feel free to comment as needed and I or a more experienced user would love to help.

This, but you can switch out the i5 with a 8350 if you want to bring down the price a bit.

A little over, but ZaBoss included peripherals and I will always recommend ASUS motherboards, the R9 290 is a much better value than the 280X in my opinion and if you're willing to (as I was) you can find former coin miners selling them in perfect condition on eBay for around $250, $70 cheaper than list price. I also think Hitachi offers more value for HDDs and G.Skill is great for RAM.

Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 | ASUS Z97-A | Intel Core i5 4690K | G.Skill Ripjaw 4 GB (desperately needs upgrade) | MSI Radeon R9 290 | EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 | Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB SSD | Seagate Constellation 1 TB HDD (also needs upgrade) | NZXT Kraken X61 for CPU | NZXT Kraken X61 + G10 for GPU | Corsair M45 | CM Storm Quickfire TK | ASUS Xonar DSX | Denon AD-H2000

Having had experience with MSI, EVGA, ASRock (never everg again), Foxconn, Gigabyte and ASUS motherboards, the only ones that didn't have problems were the Gigabyte and ASUS boards. MSI, Foxconn and ASRock died after less than two years each (unacceptable in my book) and the companies were completely unwilling to honor the warranties. Why do you say ASUS boards aren't worth it?

they dont offer much more in term of features for a higher price and the small difference in build quality isnt worth it for me

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

None of them really offer more features at this point. For me the exceptional BIOS, fan control, customer support are worth a little more money. That doesn't have to be the case for everyone though.
