This Acer comes in at $400. I'm not sure you're going to find anything worthwhile under $350 for a 1440p monitor.

The ASUS PB278Q is $460 and would be my choice in the category of 1440p non-gaming non-ultrawide monitors.

Cheapest reputable* brand 27" 1440p monitor i could find on newegg:

nvm was only 1080p

* You can pay a lot less but they are brands like QNIX or wasabi mango that I've never heard of.

Just go onto newegg.com and search 27" 1440p monitor

I'm still using an ASUS 24" 1080p monitor that's about 6 years old and every experience I've had with the company has been nothing short of fantastic. I can't say anything specific about those monitors since I haven't used them before but I would generally go with ASUS over Dell or Acer, yes.
