Graphics Card not recognizing a game

Hi everybody. So, the framerate in my games suddenly dropped way below normal and I found out that in fact, my Graphics card was not powering up for the game. there was no increase in Core Clock, Memory Speed, Load or Temperature. I was just fooling around with my computer yesterday. I have a Zotac AMP edition 760 and I overclock it using Zotac Firestorm. Yesterday, I downloaded MSI afterburner and was not satisfied with it so, I uninstalled it. The last time, I also played a game and it was playing fine. The problem is not with the game as i have tried many games with the same result.

"was not powering up for the game" ? you mean it wont boost above stock speeds or it wont switch to 3D clock profile ?

It wont boost to even the normal clocks from its resting state

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the graphics drivers?

 

EDIT: didn't see you have it overclocked. reset it to default clock speeds first.

Okay this is what happens with NVidia cards...when you reach your limit on overclocking, the driver throttles all  your clock speeds down to a minimum to prevent any damage to the card when it cant handle it.   This is clearly what is happening.  Reboot, turn down your overclock and voltage, if u have truly damaged the card, u may have to "underclock" it a bit.  Turn it down below its stock speed.  I have had this similar problem.  It also may be an issue with Afterburner.  You might want to uninstall that aswell if its giving you trouble, along with drivers.
