Is RAMDisk reliable and really as fast in normal everyday tasks and gaming as they say? Does anyone game with a RAMDisk?

you need a lot of ram to put a modern game on a ram disk for a game like crysis you need at least 24 gigs or more. 24 gigs or rams cots almost 300 dolars more so i suggerst getting a ssd for games and not a ram disk as they are very inconvent unless you have a really good use for it

RAM disks will horrendously slow down your boot times. RAM data is lost after shutdown, so it stores the data on your hard drive or SSD. It has to take those 20 GB of data and put it back on the RAM.

I wanna go fast! :P

I used to use a 8GB RAMdisk for caching and it did give a speed boost to some applications, but not enough to justify the slow boot/shutdown times.

I don't think that you will see a big improvement in loading games because of how big most games are you cannot really put them in a small RAMdisk.

I suggest that you use a program such as Fancycache to make a RAM cache instead of a RAM drive. A cache will speed up those programs which you use most frequently.
