My questions are how much would the price go down this holiday season?

Also can x99 motherboards do dual channel memory or only quad channel?

They may go down, but since this is all new hardware it wouldn't be a huge difference.

x99 can go both I believe

I already said why, the minimal performance increase isn't word the addition of a couple hundred bucks
