Update Bios No Cpu?

Hi there I bought a new Msi Z97M-G43 and a Intel Pentium Haswell Refresh, G3258. But my pc wont post. I think its because an bios update for the compatibility.

Is there any way a can update the bios with no cpu or with a cpu that is no compatible yet.

Z97 should definitely post with G3258. Only some older boards(z87...etc.) need bios update; some older models made right before/after Haswell refresh was released also didn't need it(although they might have needed an update for changing multiplier).

You probably have some other problem insteaed.

Yep most likely some other issue - CPU should work fine on that board.

What everyone else has said, something else is the matter.  It is not a compatibility problem.

That is rare, i dont know that the problem is in that case I get no beeps or some indication. I thought it was a compatibility problem because i fount this in the msi compatibility page.

That means v1.3 and i have like 1.2 or 1.1

Do you get anything? Can you get into the bios? If not, did you use the m-flash utility in the BIOS to update? If you used the bios M-flash, and the device did not read removable device, then it may have bricked your board. I did this to my Z97 gaming 5. I sent it in and had it back in 2 weeks with it updated to the latest bios and all the fixings. They sent me a brand new board. Hopefully this isnt the case for you.

No I can't get into the bios so I can't update anything. I need to know the problem. I can't send it back because I bought it the usa and I live in Costa Rica

sounds like the BIOS bricked during update Only option you have is to contact MSI for support.
