I've been playing on a friends server for about 2 weeks now. Everything up until now has been perfectly fine. Ping has been 80-100ms. All of a sudden, last night, after a server restart, my ping is roughly 10 seconds. Here is a sample video:

My personal line is fine. My ping to his Teamspeak Server (hosted on the same box as the MC server) is still 80, like MC should be.

My ping to other servers all across the US is fine.

His personal line is fine. Other people who play on the server don't have issues (granted, other said people live in the same town as him)

It's not my computer. I tried playing on my Surface Pro 2 and still had the issues. I tried different internet connections entirely, still issues. I tried VPNing to Canada and then to where the server is to see if a different path might help. Nope.

It's just this one server too, so does anybody have any idea? I've only found a few other people on the interwebz that seems to have the same issue with other servers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, IN GAME, it says my ping to the server is 80ish. But, as shown in the video, that's clearly not the case.

Woah, that's really weird, maybe he should have your profile restarted? You know, you put all your stuff in a chest, make all your properties free and he deletes all related to you in the server files (saves, mod saves, etc).

Maybe that's going to fix it, it seems to be solely related to you.

Seems like the server can keep up.

Other plays are able to get on and play just fine. It also sends chunk updates promptly (flying across mass amounts of terrain quickly)

I will try that.
