Will I be able to Crossfire my Asus 7770 2GB  with a MSI 7770 1GB?

Reason I ask is I am getting the MSI 7770 for free from a friend and am curious as to if I should throw it in my rig or save it for a HTPC or a build for my girlfriend.

Specs of the PC I use are in my signature is that helps.

The cards in question:

They will, but you'll be limited to the lowest amount of VRAM (in your case 1GB) and they will both run at the lowest clock speed (IE the clocks as the MSI card).

Uhhhh...

If they are different GPU's they won't Crossfire.  Different Brands of the same GPU don't make a difference.

What are you talking about? Yes they can Crossfire.

Well it's a good job they are the same GPU then. Reading the post might help.

They are the same GPU OP, but it's worth checking if AMD has a constraint on the memory of the cards. With how CF/SLI work, each GPU has its own copy of the memory so ideally both GPUs should have the same amount of memory. Given that one is a 1GB card and one is a 2GB card this might either mean that they don't work together, or that the 2GB card is limited to 1GB. I'm not sure if AMD has implemented it so that the 2GB card will just be limited or whether they just said no you can't do that.
