I am going to get the sennheiser hd 439.

My question is will i be able to use surround sound on them with a motherboard integrated sound card (realtek alc898)

If the game or media player doesn't have it own headphone mode, then just download Razer's surround software.

You should be able to.

 

I'd suggest the audio technica ath-m20x or m30xs, I have the m20xs and they are great for the price.
