Network card not working

Go to solution Solved by tommi_6o,

After removing motherboard battery and rebooting i changed the clock to the correct time and everything started working.

Hi

Today i got a new ssd samsung 840 evo. My plan was to install windows 7 on it and use my old ssd samsung 840

for windows 10 preview. I put the new ssd in my pc and started to instal windows 7 on it. At first it didn't want to install on it but i  solved the problem by removing my old ssd. After the install was finished i went to asus website and downloaded the lan drivers for my asus p8z77-v lk motherboard. When trying to install the lan driver i got an error saying it couldn't install the driver. (i don't remember the exact error) Then i went to device manager. It didn't detect the lan card at all. I decided to try to boot with the old windows 7 install which was on my old ssd. It detected the lan card but something was wrong because on my taskbar where the network icon is supposed to be was an empty space wich you could click but it wouldn't do anything. I launched chrome and it opened my last browsing session except for gmail and google search. When i try to go to gmail or google, chrome gets error saying your connection is not private.

I have tried reinstalling drivers, updating bios and using different operating systems. Could someone help me with my problem.

go to control panel and make sure the driver isn't installed or uninstall it. Shut down the computer, turn the power supply off and remove the motherboard battery. Wait couple minutes, Boot back in to windows, Set the correct time, and go to device manager. In device manager find the lancard. If it isn't in network adapters go through every tab and you should find it. Right click it, and install the driver by browsing the computer and selecting it. (If you have the driver on cd go and download the correct driver from your motherboards website) It should work now. I'm on holiday so i dont have my pc with me.
