So i just recenty upgrade my maximus ii formula to a qx9650 and now have a q8200 laying around. microcenter has some  socket 775 matx boards for around $50 and a few cheap cases. im wondering what u guys would suggest for a cheap media pc using xbmc for linux(64 bit linux) or possibly being a very low posiblity a  hacintosh. i blew all my money on my maximus v formula build and have a bout  at most 200 left. just wonering if i should change any of the stuff left over excluding the 8200(thats staying)

i have left over from major  maximus ii formula upgrade i did recently when i built my maximus v formula rig

q8200

450 powersuply

500 gig western digital hdd

ati radeon 9800 pcie video card

micro center has these boards avail near me they have on board video but i would like  1080i but im perfectly happy and not expecting more than 720 because im not going to be plaing games on it other than the free ones form linux but than a gain those games probably run on my super nintendo grapics chipset lol

MSI G41M-P33 Combo LGA 775 mATX Intel Motherboard Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT LGA 775 G41 mATX Intel... ASUS P5G41T-M LX Plus Socket 775 G41 mATX Intel...

the boards only suport 4 gigs ram so im left with about $140-150 after ram

the q8200 is not good enough, get a q9850

ur hard drive is crap get a seagate barracuda at least 500gig maybe 1 terabyte

get a geforce gt640 instead of a radeon 9800 nvidia makes better video chipsets than amd/ati.

I don't see how the hard drive is crap.
